We happened upon this place one afternoon while visiting seaglass Beach. We walked in, sat down and ordered. I was absolutely amazed at how fast the food came out and even more amazed at how good it was. We are so picky with our Chinese and this was exactly what we were searching for. The fried rice, beef and broccoli, almond chicken and spring rolls were the best we have had in so long. We will definitely be making the journey from Nanaimo again very soon.
I got the kung po chicken and my wife got dinner for one option b. We also shared a pot of jasmine tea. The food was simply delectable, the service excellent, and the vibe one of the best that we have experienced on the peninsula. If you find yourself in Sidney, you're missing out if you don't visit the Sidney Harbour Chinese Restaurant!
Best Chinese food around ! Their Crispy Ginger Fish is EXCELLENT. Fish was fresh, light and crispy ! They happily gave me the sauce on the side. Also a broccoli, carrot, chicken dish....so good and loaded with chicken. YUM ! One of my favourite restaurants to eat. Very friendly owners !
Absolutely loved this place! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Ian. They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. He recommended us “spot prawns” -(INCREDIBLY FRESH), “kangkong”, “ginger chicken” and “house special fried rice”. And I’m telling you guys, EVERYTHING WAS SPOT ON DELICIOUS! Ian is really good, he’s a real asset to the restaurant The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great Chinese food with top-notch service. Will definitely be coming back at this restaurant!
Had a fantastic meal , spot prawns are in season and delicious. Water spinach was new to me and amazing. Highly recommend and if the staff advise you to try something , just do it. Lovely food, great staff and location.
Way better than we expected. We were in Sidney on a Monday and a lot of places were closed. Based on several unhappy reviews on Google, our expectations were low. I ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls and steamed rice. This was hands down the best S&S Chicken I’ve EVER had. The rice was perfect, the sauce was good and the chicken was AMAZING. It was perfectly crispy and the thick nugget of chicken was juicy. They served the sauce on the side, so it wouldn’t get soggy. My husband had Chicken & broccoli. It had a white sauce, thin pieces of chicken and nice pieces of broccoli. It was very good, with a nice hint of garlic. I’ve added this restaurant to my favs list, because we will be back when we’re in Sidney. My only regret is that I didn’t order extra to take for reheats.
Living in Vancouver results in access to incredible Chinese food. So what a treat to discover this place that matches and competes on all levels with the best of Chinese food in Vancouver. This place is pure yumminess with strong authentic flavours. We always order way too much because we also enjoy the heaping portions for leftovers. The service is friendly and prompt. The atmosphere is great except in fairness - the interior decor is dated and simple. It does NOT detract from the total experience. We love coming here each year during summer travels. This place is fantastic and highly recommended
Tried many times and they won’t make u disappointed! It’s another Chinese restaurant on the island that serve authentic Chinese food! Highly recommend deep fried chicken wings, salt & pepper squid & garlic morning glory (only in Summer)! The egg foyong tastes good stuffed with bbq pork & sprout! The portion of their dishes is large. Their service is remarkable & highly efficient!
